Experiencing stress (to a greater or lesser extent) is a part of the human condition.
How do others here cope when presented with stressful experiences?
TV?, Meditation?, Drink?
Thanks. :-)

I lose myself in a book.
At the moment I'm smoking and drinking etc, but not really to excess. I'm exercising and making things and trying to engage with people and things. Meditation seems to have the opposite effect on me at the moment,so avoiding that, but sex works :) x
Keep calm and Carry on.
Drink and the very occasional ciggie helps me....going through a particularly stressful time right now, 4 g and ts and 1 single smoke + a VERY early night.....should WORK!!!...?????!!!!!!

Been trying to thing recently Tills (it happens from time to time) but what was that book that you recommended to me when we met up??

meditation/mindfulness and the like drive me crazy. Just don't get it at all...it stresses me! As far as sex goes, whats that then? I seem to remember it from years gone bye but the details elude me at the mo!!
Wine mostly. Not in excess though...

Reckon that's the only real way forward retro...

Times that by 10 and it works for me as well ;-)
Stress seems to be much the same as worry, some people suffer from it, others don't. You're either lucky (although you get wrongly accused of not caring) or unlucky.

Hope it passes quickly.
Book, drink and plenty of chocolate.
Mind you I don't get stressed very often, it has to be something major.
My hubby doesn't know how I do it!

Do you know what goes well with a bottle of wine Patsy?
Another bottle...

Yes, I would say so. Some people seem to sail through life without to much worry and therefore without too much stress.
I cope very well, I don't do stress.

Easily done!

Sounds exactly like a lot of my ex's ;-)….stressed or not!
I keep quiet and carry on and get bad stomach pains.....I am not a sharer of stress and upset as I don't think people really want to hear other peoples problems. If anything I tend to eat too much.
Yeah my go to is to scoff everything in sight, so I'm actively trying not to do that at the moment, but I might grab something in a minute x
Not sure it's sailing through life with not much worry, Nailit.... 2008 taught me not to worry about things....deal with them and if I can't don't worry about them....
It taught me also to not stress about things... that's a road to nowhere for me...

I know from clients that regular massage...and a good, prescribed massage is brilliant for reducing stress...x
My work is stressful. When I've got a lot on I tend to work off a tick list else it's easy to get overwhelmed.

Other stress (there's a lot of unpleasant stuff going on in the background right now) is more negative. I tend to a) crack on b) talk to my friends but c) it tends to manifest itself in upper back and neck pain so I've got a jolly good osteopath.

I have also tried to adopt an approach of not getting wound up about stuff that doesn't matter or that I cant change.
Having a good laugh beats stress for me (shame about me jokes tho)
If it's a short burst of adrenaline overload type stress (caused by actual events) I smoke, drink and lose my appetite. More low level underlying worries I stick my head in the sand and hope they go away.
