Whenever I feel a bit unwell and manage to eat a curry, I always seem to feel lots better after. What is it I wonder? Maybe the spices have healing powers. :-)

Turmeric is known for its healing properties.
Lots of spices and seasoning like turmeric and garlic I guess.

Whenever I feel unwell tea usually picks me up.
I believe there is some truth in that. The Romans believed Garlic was good for circulation and cardio. Chilli has pain killing qualities and I forget what healing properties Tumeric has but if you like curry as I do then it should give you a feel good factor unless it's a dodgy one. Then it is good for unsolicited colonic irrigation. :-)

Me too!
If I feel cold or flu symptoms coming on, I find that I feel much better after eating a curry with plenty of onion and ginger in it, Chinese preferably.

I like a spicy asian soup when I feel a bit low, always makes me feel better, and blows the cobwebs away.

Thanks for the response everyone. Interesting reading on Tumeric. I've had a water infection this past week, was feeling tired & nauseous. I wasn't going to have curry but thought I'd try a small portion. Ended up having second portion! I honestly felt so much better. Feel better today too. It's always been the same in the past too, with other ailments. By the way, I have nothing stronger than Madras. :-)
