Just Baring My Soul.
31 Answers
No asking for advice, but just a bit depressed.
Had to undergo several blood tests in the last two weeks, now been sent for even more. Also stool tests, am feeling really down.
Used to be healthy until 2010 then things just went from bad to worse.
Am 68 and just hope I can make provision for Mrs T, just in case.
Don't want sympathy, it comes to us all, just letting off steam. Forgive me.

Theland you are not alone, John Milton (d.1647);
When I consider how my light is spent
Ere half my days in this dark world and wide,
And that one talent which is death to hide
Lodg'd with me useless, though my soul more bent
To serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide;
"Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?"
I fondly ask. But Patience to prevent
That murmur, soon replies: "God doth not need
Either man's work or his own gifts; who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o'er land and ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait."

I'm sure if you were well enough you'd be willing to help out. I always say to folk at work who are off sick, there's no point coming back too soon, having a relapse and then taking longer to get fit enough for work.
There'll be plenty time to help put things past in the new house once your health improves and you're in a better frame of mind.
