Oh yes! I wouldn't go back to my teens for a million pounds, though I would appreciate the body firmness of my early twenties. I'm in my mid thirties now and although shy and slightly withdrawn still, I have developed a degree of confidence in myself that I never expected to achieve, am more able to pursue my own agenda without resorting to people pleasing and I'm far less prone to manipulation by others.
Yep me too, personally I had just put it down to having had x more years of experience.

I would never say I wasn't confident but I'm much better at dealing with situations now.
Couldn't agree more with you greeneyes. The confidence I have now has taken years to achieve - I think childbirth and travelling helped me realise if I have been through tough things, then little problems really are nothing I can't handle. I wouldn't like to go back to the shy person I used to be. I also agree, things are clearer to me these days. Life is much simpler, even though it's a much busier one! Your thirties fly I'm afraid; I can't believe it but I'm 37 tomorrow.
Absolutely agree! Of course, I would also like the physical aspects of being younger, but I'm in my late 30s and feel much more secure and comfortable with myself. I only wish it hadn't taken so long to get here. I think my 40s will be the best time of my life! And, as Drusilla said, I no longer feel I have to "answer" to anyone or do things I feel I "should" as opposed to things I want to do.
yes its great, 40 is even better and fifty is wonderful!!
30 next week. Looking foward to it. Insurance might let me buy a fast car then :o)
66 is not bad either! just double the confidence gained, and I suppose a little more maturiy helps as well . I love being a pensioner!!

Couldn't agree more with copippen. No restrictions on your time, come and go as you please. I play golf and socialise when the weather permits and I feel like it.

To my mind, the last 50 years was merely a rehearsal for this.

Hope I haven't made you too jealous, greeneyes, 30 is a great time of life. ENJOY.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SUNFLOWER 68 FOR TOMORROW

Isn't it great just to be alive - no matter what age !
i'll be 30 in 6 months i've recently started telling people that i can't wait after reading this i mean it even more!!
Yes its a fantastic age! We can look 10 years younger (thanks to SPF15 moisturisers that our mums didnt have!) but have the confidence and security (financial and otherwise) that we perhaps didnt have in our 20s. By our 30s weve achieved many of our ambitions whether it be in the workplace, travelling or starting a family etc etc but still have the drive and energy to achieve so much more. I love being a thirty something!
