Trying to sort out a mobile for an old bloke. Doesn’t do texts at present, but I think he would with a big enough keyboard and display. Bit of a technophobe, and wouldn’t want games, web, etc.
Similar questions have come up many times before on AB, with the Doro brand repeatedly being praised and recommended. (The company specialises in products for the elderly or those who might find regular mobile phone hard to use. In particular, their phones tend to have keys which are larger than usual and/or more widely spaced).
Thanks. Most of those don’t address the texting problem. We use Samsung Galaxies with a ‘keyboard’, and they’re okay but fiddly. Old Tom needs our sort of phone but with a bigger/clearer keyboard, and none of the fripperies (too confusing).
If you want to be more precise when typing on a smart phone keyboard then use a stylus. I find I can type far more accurately and quicker than with my stubby fingers.
As an Example these:
Chums is a website that always advertises a basic cheap cell phone with a large keypad . I will provide a link in 15 mins when I am home. Just finishing off my last pint in the hostelry.
I believe you may visit following website, they have elderly mobile phones for disabled people. You can view different mobile variant over there and choose elderly mobile phones as per your requirements.
