I’ve always had normal periods, rarely any pain. Till this last week. I was in the lounge when I felt I was wetting myself so I thought god how embarassing and ran to the loo. But it wasn’t wee - it was blood/clots, literally like I was going for a wee. I was shocked. Couldn’t move once I’d sat down but when I did well, took a while to clear up is all I’ll say. And horrendous lower pelvic pain. Finally eased off and all was ok till that evening - then the same again! Couldn’t leave the house as I was going thru all my clothing. And now same again today.
I’ve spoken to a couple of friends roughly my age and none of them have ever had this. I’ve not been thru the menopause but I know you can at anytime really from late 30’s to whenever. Is this the peri menopause or is something medically wrong? I can’t sit on a chair without covering it in several towels etc.... TIA x

I’ve rang doctor and can’t get in. Thy said to try at 8am tomorrow
That’s shocking smow! Given that you have been there with such injuries they should see you ASAP!
Ring 111, GP's have to hold a few appointments for emergency 111 and one of the first questions they ask you is 'are you bleeding' so you'll be in there straight away, especially when you tell them you have recently had a fall.
The question from 111 is, are you bleeding now .
^^^^^ Has she said she isn't? Read the last sentence in the OP Anne.
Obviously I misread the op, I assumed if someone was actively bleeding vaginally with clots etc, AB would not be my first * port of call *.
When this happened to me I went straight to the doctor. I was losing bits of the womb lining as well. The first thing they did was a pregnancy test whilst I waited. The actual reason was HRT tablets I had taken for a month. The first and last time I took HRT!

The reason I asked here first is because:
1. I knew I wouldn’t be a lie to get into my doctors
2. I didn’t want to waste their time of lots of you ladies said oh yes mid 40’s onwards you can get a few days like that.
3. You all normally give very good advice.
My Sister had this after years of normal periods - and it was a scan showed a few fibroids. By the time she got a hospital appointment the next month to they had dispersed themselves! She is OK now no horrendous bleeding. I have unfortunately experienced a miscarriage at 12 weeks and you just pass the sac....and lots of blood but not any womb lining/clots. Hope you feel better soon x
Millie - I'm sorry but that isn't true. Some miscarriages happen like that but far from all of them.
It does vary, yes x. Hopefully all is ok, smow xx
Smow how did you get on at the drs?
