It doesn't matter how slim and toned-up we are we still have chunky legs. I actually know a family where all the sisters have large, muscular calves bigger than their thighs.
I think dancing is good for legs, but you might just need to buy bigger boots in future!
You need to elongate your calf muscles (lengthen them). Best exercise is pilates and yoga. Slow stretching exercises. Also, standing on a raised step with your heel over the edge, stretching the muscle everyday. You need to do this a real lot if you want to see noticeable results.. but it does work. I had to do these exercises to get in shape for showjumping. My calves and knees really changed shape. Admittedly, I lost a lot of weight at this time as well, which would have made a difference. Being an established horse rider, i am prone to large calves. You should also experiment with the length and style of your shoes. I find that high heels actually make my legs look thinner, but a little too high and they look twice as big!
But the yoga and pilates will get you in them boots... stretch em!!
