Had my NHS number come for my jab, and to book. Well I can't make my mind up. Why, because its only the UK who have decided to stretch the second dose past three weeks, and Pfizer have not commented on that decision ???

and you're not going to have it

you might have a long wait if you wait until the 12 weeks is reduced to 3- maybe never- or until Pfizzer approve a longer gap but if your prepared to take the risk of being unvaccinated for however long it takes thats your choice and thats fair enough as its not compulsory

Teacake, I do partially share your concern.
One momenti time the boys insist that you MUST have the second jab 21 days after the first, then comes Tony Blair who says.".eh! why not.........."
Then it seems waiting 3 months is nobig deal...confused? unsettled?......something I.
Just go with the scientists, ihave and have had my first jab of Astrazeneca.

Sqad. I think with the new one jab vacs that will becoming into play sooner or later have made it a more difficult decision. If I was to get the second dose of the present vac in three weeks I wouldn't be thinking about it at all.

Pretty good protection with one jab, so why worry?

At the moment you are more likely to receive the Oxford jab. Does that affect yiur decision?

The only thing that will affect my decision or convince me to have the Pfizer jab is if Pfizer themselves confirm that the 12 week gap, is not a problem, so far they have not done that.

The government and our own scientists that made this decision do not have any data that backs up their decision to extend the second dose without it creating any problems. Also the government and scientists will more than likely be taking the newer vaccine in the spring ( the one jab) as there not in line to have theirs for some time so really any concerns they might have won't affect them.
