If One Was Going To Have A Bad Reaction

to the Covid Vaccination would it happen immediately, i had my jab yesterday morning, seemed fine, then last night had the worse three hours where i was continually shaking, teeth chattering the whole works. Could it be down to the vaccination?

I have read similar reactions, they normally resolve in a few days, the advice given was rest and paracetamol.

i have never had anything like it, i couldnt control the shaking, was on the point of phoning 111, whats worse had dinner, then three hours later some of that came back up, if it continues is it worth speaking to doctor tomorrow....

or leave it - the only time i remember the teeth chattering and shaking was a long while ago, when i got sun stroke... no chance of that

My cousin had the Oxford jab, next day not at all good, headache, feeling sick, dripping nose and really painful arm. My friends had it and no reaction at all. I’m having the jab tomorrow, weather permitting, hopefully I’ll not be like my cousin.

i had the astrazeneca jab... felt fine earlier in the day... i ended up going to bed propped up because of the food that seemed to want to come up.. not nice...

No point in getting medical advice at this point and the fever could last for another 48hours.

Just a personal view is that the side effects of the vaccine ,particularly Astrazeneca, have been understated and I can understand why.

If you look it up, the things you’ve experienced are classed as very common, and/or common, side effects of the vaccine you had.
Didn’t you get a leaflet explaining this emmie?
I got tons of information when I had my (Pfizer) jab.

i did, but there wasn't time to read it, we were herded in, had the vaccine then shown the door.... they were doing a lot that day...

Didn’t you get leaflets to take away with you? As I say, I was given lots of info to take home and read, as well as all the things which had to be read and signed at the time.

I had the AstraZenica vaccination and I got leaflets explaining the common side effects. I was also told to take paracetamol if I felt unwell.

i got one leaflet, which i read yesterday, i didn't feel unwell for most of the day, it was only around 5 that it came on, the shaking was awful.

we filled in a form which the surgery kept, stating our ethnicity, and any allergies, which i have, to penicillin.

We both had the Oxford vaccine yesterday and feel 100% fine. We were also given a lengthy leaflet to take away and read. I must say the whole set-up (a GP hub)was super-efficient and really well organised.

I posted on another thread that although probably co-incidence 3 people we know who had Astra Zenica were very unwell for a few days with Flu like symptoms. 4 including Mr U who had the Pfizer only had a sore arm and a mild headache for around 24 hours, I am keeping my fingers crossed for the Pfizer.
