Well, having never had it before and being diagnosed over the phone (our doctor isn’t seeing anyone face to face) I’m assuming she is correct. Either way, the pain when passing urine is absolutely horrendous - I’ve never known stinging like it. And the whole area is burning and feels raw. It’s hurting just to sit down. Doctor has given me Canesten cream but is there anything else I am do/take to ease the pain? Sorry for delicate nature of question x

Hi Barry. Yes lucky I’ve always drank lots of water anyway. Am just surprised the ‘area’ is so raw. Sorry for being so blunt lol. I understand it’s meant to sting like hell when you pass water but I didn’t expect the actual skin to hurt.
My wife has had it and she says she never hurt externally down there unless she was peeing but she did have a constant, unpleasant heaviness that caused discomfort.

I’m just wondering if it is actually cystitis. Tho I can’t think what else would cause such stinging when peeing. I haven’t gone anywhere, been anywhere, done ‘the act’ with anyone - I’ve literally just been at home.
No discharge, nasty smell? No new use of 'female' deodorants, soaps or change of laundry detergent?
No wiping your bottom differently because of your painful cocyx?
Question Author
No discharge, no new products, no change of habits......
Have you had a look? Does the area look inflamed?
Take painkillers if you haven't done so.
Question Author
It looks normal ( thank god for mirrored wardrobes lol) but feels raw and is burning 24-7.
Speak to your GP again and ask them f you can have your urine tested and why she prescribed thrush treatment. Ask what you can apply to the area to relieve the pain, if anything. Have a cool bath without bubbles or anything else.
The thrush treatment is probably to relieve the symptoms.

Am going to ring them again this morning. Have never had this so it’s all new to me. Just don’t know why it’s burning so much x
Make sure you do, it's the long bank holiday weekend

I’ll just keep on with this cream then and lots of water, and pray it starts to work soon...: (
anti biotics is the only thing that will clear this up
Question Author
Oh god really? X
yes smow, most people on here have advised you. drink loads of water, but reckon you need to speak with GP his morning, and see if they can get you them today -do you have a local pharmacy where you can pick them up. not sure they will be open tomorrow as its Easter Friday.
phone gp soon as
do you have a Boots chemist anywhere near as website says most will be open tomorrow but close early 5pm
its very common so don't fret. but do ring GP first thing and stress that you need abiotics today if not tomorrow.
