I don't think Henry meant pounds to be honest as I don't think he is American - only Americans judge their weight in pounds. We Brits deal with stones.
the correct answer is the first answer, 12:31 puts it into stones, lb and oz. Gawd only on AB could a simple arithmetic question cause so many answers.
163lb 2oz =
11 stone (14*11)= 154
9 lb (163-154)
2 oz
JJ he is 11.7 stone yes using that round up but that is not 11 stone 7 lb
for example 11.5 stone means 11 1/2 stones = 11 stone 7 lbs.
Google gives you the decimal value.
11 shillings a pound? very expensive back in £ s d days but as you wish.
163 * 11 = 1793 shillings = £89 13s
the 2 oz = 55/16 * 2 = 6.875 new pence = 16.5d = £0 1s 4.5d.
so the final amount would be £89 14s 4d halfpenny.
