Does anyone have any experience of hiring a personal assistant to help with disability at home? Apparently it's a separate budget to social services care? Is it possible to get a grant to hire someone?

That organisation will steer you in the right direction. It is the local council that funds PAs, so you should speak to them, too.

I see lots of adverts in my local groups for PAs and you do need to be clear about the help you need.
