Very Sad News - Sqad

It’s with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that Mrs Sqad has asked me to let you know that Sqad passed away on New Year’s Day. He had been quite unwell recently as many of you realised so now at peace. He used to really enjoy this site and I know most people had engaged with him at some time or another. I met them both several times in Menorca and have remained very good friends ever since. Sincere condolences to Mrs Sqad at such a difficult time, she really is the loveliest lady and Sqad really was an amazing husband to her. RIP my lovely.

Oh, I am so saddened.  It was obvious what was coming, but you hope against hope.Dear, dear man - we chatted about the improvements to Scarborough Hospital.  He kept me sane when I first  joined here, sitting up alone in France with a post-op Mr. J2 whose leg ws leaking gallons of fluid.

A lovely man.  I have lost a friend. I want to cry.

So much love being sent from here to Mrs. Sqad and family. xx

RIP dear Sqad. We shall never his like again on AB. I always thought how much I would like to meet him.

This seems very much the end of an era - I doubt AB will see his like again.

Sqad helped both of us more than once - with terse, forthright and accurate advice.

Devoid of sentimentality but not without humanity - I'll miss the old boy a lot.

Oh no I am so sorry to read this. I had much communication with him over the years and found him to be a gentleman with a terrific sense of humour. I remember once I was worried about an exaggerated illness being a bit of a hypochondriac his response to me asking if I had this, still makes me laugh today "There's more chance of a wooden horse producing manure !!" RIP

The Winner I wish I still had the photos, but I  can assure you he was   very distinguised  attractive 'gentleman' in his seventies when he sent them.  And his wife, very attractive.
