Why Might The Group Have Not Replied?

I messaged a group on Friday asking when they want to meet up and no one has replied. Why could that be?

I imagine those who haven't read the message don't know what it says.

whereas i would guess that even those who have read the message also don't know what it says, if you used your signature style of writing

They probably just haven't read it yet...busy over the weekend, now back at work. Not everyone bothers to look at WhatsApp messages regularly. Grey tics mean the message has not been looked at.

People prioritise messages and sometimes ignore or don't rush to read messages from some people for all sorts of reasons.

Sometimes enough info in the Chats listing to be able to avoid opening the message.

Abbey, you obviously know 'partly'  why that could be, if some of the people haven't read your message! The others may be busy, may not be interested, may be waiting to see what anyone else says...

If someone deletes a message on receipt without even opening it, does it still appear in grey?

newmodarmy, you can delete a message from the entire chat or just for yourself. so everyone in the chat could individually delete the message but I believe that Abbey could still see it.

Instead of WhatsApping 'friends' re going out, going to "bottomless brunches" and buying new clothes, how about getting a full time job first and Saving The Money instead?
