What is the most common month for births, does any month seem to have more than any other year after year??

I was once told that September and October were the commonist because of the cold winter months and Christmas jolities at time of conception.

My midwife said Sept/Oct from Xmas, and March/April due to summer holidays

It may run in families as to which is the best month to concieve, March, my niece is the 2nd, mine the 3rd, my nephew the 4th, my father the 6th, my sister the 8th, and my brother the 9th, and on top of that, I have two friends, also the 3rd.

yep, late sept/early Oct and march are by far the most common birth months. I'm March, my wee boy is end Sept!!!

My husband and I call our eldest daughter our 'powercut baby' because when she was born in August 1997 , there was a baby boom in our local hospital and subsequently our GPs surgery and baby clinic was always overflowing at any given time. I put this down to a period of time in November (which ties in with my date of conception) when we had a powercut for the full night one evening and part of the following day. I found out shortly afterwards that I was pregnant and my health visitor informed me that there had been a significant increase in the numbers of babies born around the same period of time. Perhaps it was the candlelit atmosphere that did it. I guess that not everyone was playing scrabble that night !

My girlfriend and I were both born in April. Come to think of it, nearly everyone I know was born in April.

So I think the answer is April.
