hi.yes lady_p_gold is right.they should only be used short term.i have been on temazepam before.also i think the reason you might be asking is it for sleeping or depression is that you are getting it mixed up with diazepam(aka valium) which is a given out for depression.it depends on the dose but it is more of an aid to helping you get asleep.it doesnt knock you out as such.your friend might wake up feeling a bit drowsy in the morning but it wears off after a bit.if he/she works in the morning i would advise getting up maybe 20-30 minutes earlier to help shake it off.otherwise if it is only short term it should help get the sleeping patern back.best of luck
also if your friend is not into the whole thing of taking medication their are herbs that are very helpful too with no side effects.valerian is probally the best.sorry i dont have any link to any site featuring it but if you put it in a search engine you should find out plenty about it.you can get it in pharmacys actually.they are in tablet form.i think it is reasonably priced too.well worth trying out
I had temazepam a couple of times when I couldnt get into a proper sleep due to worrying about work, kids - the usual.I found it helpful and just started halving the tablet until I was able to fall over myself.Short term only I agree.
I now use Nytol on the odd occasion I feel I need a good deep sleep (I am a very light sleeper). Its brilliant and I cant recommend it highly enough.
