Big Toe

Hi All,

I have a problem with ingrowing nail on big toe and recently come off antibiotics, had chiropodist out today who has managed to get the nail out (very deep apparently) but it has gone sceptic, she has cleared all the puss and said it should be OK now and dont need ot get anymore antibiotics as the nail is out it should all clear up, is this correct does anyone know?

Want to trust her but off on holidays in 6 weeks and dont want my toe to drop off, hehe :) I am seeing her again in 3 weeks to be safe

So long as there's no abcess you should be ok.

i suffered from an excrutiating ingowing toe nail last year, so bad that I was on antibitoics for 4 months. It helped but iot just kept coming back, more and more septic. Had no choice but to have both side of the nail on my toe nail removed. The surgery was painless, but the injections where painfull. Its been a year and everything is fine.
