How to be forgiven?

When you have a row with someone you care about lot and you say something you didn't mean and you've said sorry, but they still won't speak to you, what should you do then? Should you accept their silence? Wallow in your own guilt? Or keep apologising until then speak to you? The comment wasn't that bad... but it shouldn't have been said.

rubes i am gathering that this " friend" is of the male species(strange beings) well we all know that men are all huffy little boys when it comes down to it , you have apoligised enough just let him ( yes you dear) come out his wee strop in his own time,or you could always send the posse down there to sort him out and give him a good hiding !!!!!!
