I have limited myself to healthy option food, not over 1800 kal per day, walked 5 miles daily and done a swim every other day.

have now put on 3lb in that week....any ideas why anybody??

there has been no cheating, I don't understand...any tips?

Thanks

when you exercise and your muscles build, it seems like it adds weight but it's nothing to worry about, bet you still look good.

thanks nattab, I dunno about looking good but I don't want to be Mr Blobby on the beach...hehe
know the feelin', my hubby said i look great, and i do work out every day, but i've put on 2 stone since we got married three years ago as he is such a good cook. I'm determined to lose it before next years holiday though and surprise him when i strip off on the beach. lol
pps, when you've lost weight constantly your body settles into the routine and weight loss begins to slow down, just keep up your healthy diet. good luck and if u need to chat i am subscribed to this thread

It could well be muscle weight like nattab says, and sometimes it takes your body a few weeks to really start to show the difference. Hormones can add weight at certain times of the month too so I wouldnt worry too much about it you will be looking even more fab and toned in no time !

And do make sure that when you weigh yourself it is always at the same time of day. I weigh two to three pounds heavier at night than first thing in the morning (so always weigh myself first thing in the morning!! ;o))

You shouldn't weigh yourself. Do you really want to lose weight or do you actually want to lose fat?

If you want to lose fat then weight is irrelevant - you could, in theory, be heavy and look fantastic if your body is toned and there is no flab.

I suggest you measure yourself instead - measure around your waist and anywhere else you think is "unacceptable" and you will see results more than using scales.

Looking good on the beach is nothing to do with weight. its all about the amount of fat you have. Most large chemists/supermarkets have have scales that do calculations to work out you fat index, and this is a much better way of monitoring you 'Eye Candy' level.

If you check and you fat levels are reducing it doesnt matter so much about overall weight.

well, thanks for all that guys, people do tell me I don't look big and usually guess my weight at least a stone lighter, so maybe there is something in what you are saying.

I'm not obsessed, well maybe a litle - used to be 17st last year and am now down to 13!.. now where are those scales to pack!
congrats on your weight loss
