Couldn't you just do it for breakfast and dinner then? and have a normal lunch

Yes it does work but to be fair you're eating cereal for two of your 3 meals, a healthy third meal & supposedly doing some exercise as well! Careful if all doesn't pile back on as soon as you start eating normally.

The healthiest way to do it is eat little and often - if you don't eat when you're hungry your body goes into starvation mode and stores any food as fat (as it doesn't know when the next meal will be) whether its cereal or low fat whatever.

You might not loose it as dramatically eating little and often but it will stay off. If you're looking to squeeze into that bikini in a couple of weeks though the cereal might just do the trick! Good luck...

No something always comes up. Anyway this was your question :-) everyones jumped on my answer. :-)

A friend of mine tried it and lost nothing.

(If the woman on the ad was just an inch wider on her waist before - she wouldn't have looked much different would she!!)

Just thought you would be interested to know although special K has very little fat in it contains the same amount of fattening calories as a bowl of coco pops so is not at all healthy. However if you are going to eat just one bowl of any cereal as a replacement for lunch then you should lose weight.
DONT DO IT!!! this is NOT a healthy way to loose weight, and as carolG says you may pile the weight, plus more back on once you start eating normally again. The only way to have permanent healthy weight loss is to eat a healthy varied diet (2 bowls of cereal a day is definitely not varied!) and to exercise. If you do loose weight from this itll only be because youre starving your body. A woman I work with has been doing it for about 4 or 5 months, no lie! And she looks exactly the same now as before she started, plus cereal isnt a fulfilling enough meal for her so she snacks on biscuits afterwards! The only people who benefit from this diet are Kelloggs, as they trick people into buying more of their product by the promise of weight loss.
Exactly!

anytime you're restricting your calories you tend to lose weight...but that doesn't mean it's a healthy way of doing it.

a girl i worked with did it...lasted a week and then stopped cos she felt ill!!
