Can't get up in the morning!
51 Answers
I HATE MORNINGS! I really, really struggle to get up - I am now thinking that I have got myself into a routine that isn't helping the situation.
I have to be up at 7 but set my alarm clock 20 mins fast so although it still goes off at 7 I know it is actually 6.40 and I can press snooze for 20 mins. However, for those 20 mins in between snoozing I work out how I can spend more time in bed - what I can 'miss out on' so I can get more kip, except I don't really sleep during this time so it is pretty pointless.
Ultimately I usually end up being late because I have not left enough time to get ready! I'm thinking I should ban myself from pressing snooze and take a leaf out of my husbands book which is to get up as soon as the alarm goes off but don't know how I am going to get out of a habit of a lifetime!

Day 4 of the challenge involved sleeping in until the alarm went off, another very loud expletive when it did go off, but I did get up. However, still 15 mins late for work! Oops, I think I have set me alarm too late!

I am sorry - not only did I fail the challenge on Friday - I failed to admit my failings which is even worse! This was the first morning I was properly asleep when my alarm went off and I COULD NOT just get up! I had to press snooze twice until 7.20 and was 10 mins late for work.
So ... I have a new system for this week. I have set my alarm for 7 and I am allowed to press snooze twice in the morning and that is it! Only this morning I pressed it 3 times and was 5 mins late! DOH! It is getting better though - at least I am no longer setting my alarm 30 mins early and pressing it 20 times! We are fairly useless though aren't we?!?!?!?!

Hi Nicky. I agree. This was the most diabolical team effort in the history of diabolical team efforts!
You'll be pleased to hear that I'm doing better this week. I've managed to get into work on time yesterday and today. This may have something to do with me moving desk at work so I'm now on a floor with more people (thereby my time-keeping will be more noticeable!!). :o)
