Stupid Water Company!

It's one of the hottest weeks of the year, and we don't have any running water during the day because they are doig 'essential maintenance work' around where we live. Why did they not do it in the winter when we didn't need to have lots of showers and glasses of water?!

Because I doubt most of the untilities can organise themselves beyond next week, let alone half a year.

Same where we live, robbo.

Also, vandals keep opening the fire hydrants in the drains, leaving half of the estate without water for hours at a time. We couldn't flush the loo or have a shower for most of the weekend!

Do what we did - ring the utilities company and complain badly - although it may not get you anywhere. Visit the OFWAT site and complain here, too.

I am sure the Chairman and his/her board are happily sitting in their air-conditioned offices, drinking chilled mineral water merrily checking their latest bonus/pay cheque.
