Get your mum to put her foot in a bowl of cold water, see if that takes the swelling down a bit. As has been mentioned, it could just be the heat? Also people tend to be a bit more sedentary in this weather so it could just be that your mum needs to move the joint a little more. I hope it goes down soon.
thats ok crete, it does sound strange, i know, but its more of a social interraction for her, and a bit of help for me ! she once told her gp (very seriously) that she could not go for a blood test on a tuesday because she goes to work that day ! !
she catches 2 buses to get to us and i take her back.
she wasnt very well one week so she rang in sick !
perhaps we should start a trend - take a parent to work day,
what do you think ?????
mind you, we have just taken on 2 new employees
(engineers) - one is 66, the other is 67 - they are brilliant ! no ageism in this place !!!!!!!!
p.s i took mom to gp and he has put her on diuretics
cheers everyone
