Waht is the best remedy for severe hayfever

That depends upon your circumstances, ageposs other illnesses and what you call severe. You can get steriod injections which will help for one of occasions, like a wedding or exams, Lifestyle changes can help, like keeping a dustfree house, damp wiping yourself down when you get indoors, driving an air conditioned car if poss and generally limiting your exposure. The best place to start ids with your doctor.. does anyone else know of an advice website. As a long time sufferer whose symptoms diminished with age, i'd say that there is no one best solution, and you need to find the best combination of measures for you.

I take a drug called DESLORATADINE my doctor prescribed it for me its really good as I always get runny nose and watery eyes.

I use Aqueous Beconase which you squirt up your nose twice daily. Its a desensitising liquid and takes a week or so to start working. On especially bad days Zirtec (buy from a pharmacy) makes sure the day is bearable. Dark glasses will help as well as they stop the pollen being blown into your eyes and protect your poor hayfever eyes from the bright suunshine. I do hope this helps,like Woofgang, mine has improved with age and this is quite common so it should get better year by year.
