Vitamins for Hair
5 Answers
Can anyone recommend supplements/ vitamins that will help hair grow more quickly? I would love to have long hair but it seems to be stuck at shoulder length. I already take a few vitamins but would like something more specific - Holland & Barrett has a scary array of things.

I'm not sure what they mean by a " shot of wheatgerm " But I imagine any health food shop would advise you.
My friend has hair loss , I think due to her appalling diet and stressed life style.
She uses Lamberts Florisene. It is expensive but works. oh and the guy who sells it on ebay takes your money and doesn't send it out
Holland and Barrett basically give you a vit B complex and minerals.
Solgar do one which is more than just vit b.
Many healthfood shops poo poo Holland and barretts, I use them for some things only.
.
you need to understand how things are absrobed into the body as some stuff can go straight through
Thing is at 44 I have a mane of long hair ( blokes have manes or is it mange?) which a few years ago was coming out. I found I was intollerant to wheat and milk. I stopped eating wheat and taking dairy products and my hair resumed its thickness and length, though its length stays in the middle of my back, my sons hair grow to below their bottoms..
Look at yourself holistically b4 you start taking anything.
Are you intollerant to any foods?
Are you very stressed
Most of us could do with proper vit supplements, but be careful, there is a huge market for desperate people and companies make millions off them.
vitb complex is far cheaper than hair and nail supplement.
look for a good vit and mineral supplement with niacin and Pantothenic acid, copper, magnesium, etc.
do a search on the web about the subject but be careful of sites that just want to sell.
