I know you are smudge! I certainly wasn't implying that you would! From what I have read of you on here, I think you are a woman of very strong moral character.
A lot of people use the reasoning you have described: that a company makes a lot of money or overcharges or something... but that is your choice to patronise them or not.
I just don't think that it would justify stealing from them. It's an interesting issue though.
I myself have struggled with similar dilemmas, such as whether to tell the cashier if something rings up lower than the ticketed price, when I know that the item is overpriced to begin with. I have friends who buy things at a particular store and use 20% off coupons, and then they return the items without a receipt for store credit, and then they have 20% more to spend. To me, that is stealing, but they argue that everything in that store is at least 20% overpriced anyway.
