I'd move, myself, husband, 2 daughters, Mum and Step-Dad to Australia to live near my sister and brother in law. I would give some money to the hospice that looked after my Dad when he was terminally ill with cancer and some to the kidney foundation.
And I would relish in the fact that I could put whatever I wanted in my supermarket trolley without worrying about how much the final bill was going to be!
.... Oh and I would buy a pair of GHD's :o)
(been wanting some for over 2 yrs!)
If I won a million pounds (if only), I'd first treat both our two daughters, a close nephew & families to a substantial amount of money each, enabling them to move onto pastures new.
I would then donate money to Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, where the very kind staff cared for my dear friend's 3 children, who died at ages 9, 14 & 16 years old.
I would then treat us all to a big family holiday & work out what to do with the rest....
If it was just a million, no, I'm ashamed to say that I wouldn't give any to charity. I would however buy a farm with some land and open up an animal shelter and that'd be my charity.
I'd share some of it out with my work colleges, because they are the best group of people I've ever had the privilage to work with, and we are all facing the prospect of redundancy by June, and none of us are on high wages, so we could really, really do with the money!!!!
I'd sort the immediate family and then i have always vowed i'd look after in some small way people i have met along the way, i haven't know them well, maybe only met once or twice, but these are the people who have little or no money in their life but seem to give all they can. I have a nice little list now and i would be a dream come true to ease their money worries.
i would visit new york and florida, buy a big posh house with a pool, buy pressies for my family and give some to childrens hospital for kids with leakimia and stuff.
btw, im getting some ghd straightners for my birthday, are they really good? or overated.
Half a million coming your way.
Could you please supply me with your bank details so I can pay it in.
Also your date of birth and mother's maiden name. Ta
buy a nice home of my own, which I've always wanted... a million pounds doesn't go so far these days, house prices being what they are. If it was five million, charities would do very much better out of me.
Dearest devilwoman,
Firstly? I would like to say I think our BOO deserves 3 stars.
Why? because looking after unwanted animals is the most stressfull, and mostly unthankfull task. And yet? we all love animals and are all disgusted by animal cruelty.
Good for you darling BOO.
I, if I won 1000,000?
Pay off all family mortgages and then invest in a good high interest account and support mycharities with x amount per month. Give some to Crossroads Caring for Carers. And
some to Many Tears Rescue.
That is how BOO is talking.
