Get out in the open air.
Go and ride a bike.
Or listen to some music
Maybe dance.
If that's what you like.
Get yourself a hobby.
Gardening's quite good.
Growing veg and fruit yourself
Then eating them
Can really lift your mood.
I hope that this is of some help
Though it's just suggestions
I'm sure other folk can provide
More constructive

hi hun
i doubt if there's anyone on here that hasnt felt lonely some time in their life for one reason or another. But you have to keep things in perspective. Did you see any of comic relief and witness true suffering (leaving aside political beliefs etc etc) . There are people here and the world over who suffer not just loneliness, but pain, misery and unimaginable atrocities their entire life.
It makes a failed relationship or a 'let down' look a bit insignificant.
I know pain is not comparable. But I try to count my blessings . At least I have the ability to change things, many people dont.
I agree with jenstar's suggestions - basically get out, meet new people and do something new.
I don't think anyone can say they have never felt lonely. I've been pretty lonely recently since i've been pregnant - missed out on all the girly nights out, dont understand what the flip they're talking about when they're discussing their girly nights out and i feel really lonely when i'm stuck in doors on my own... so i decided to take up making cakes! :o) Sad but true (considering i'm only 22).... basically i kept myself busy so that time would fly.
It takes self motivation to get yourself out of the dumps (so to speak).
Hope it's nothing to serious and like silverdaler says remember that it's not all bad and there's always someone out there that's worse off than you.
