I disagree with you crete. My uncle committed suicide (hanging) and the father of a school friend did also (gassed in a car). I consider the actions of both, which the loved ones discovered, and the devastation they left behind to be the most selfish thing they could ever have done.
Whilst I am no doubt that they did not set out to do a selfish act, they were not thinking rationally enough to have that foresight, I consider that those who are left behind to deal with the consequences suffered more.
