Do any of the ABers KNOW her? does she really derserve to be treated that way??? I have some sympathy with her...at the end of a long shift, working her butt off, knowing that every penny she makes goes to necessities and that at her stage in life she doesn't have a lot of hope of progessing further career-wise.....i'm not surprised she is feeling p****d off. I know everyone tried hard to make imaginative suggestions but put yourself in her shoes...is it really practical to tell a 52 year old to become an aerobis instructor. i suspect heather is looking for something to to give her life meaning while at the same time helping her to cope with lifes mundane day to day slog.
manners dont cost anything, If you ask a question and get a reply, generally being rude to the person who has taken time to search for weblinks, or spent time giving options like miss scarlett is disgusting.
pasta I dont know whether you are aware but there are a lot of people on here who live in very difficult circumstances, we all seem to manage to plod on and take what life throws at us, we have a laugh and we try to help each other.
this place is a great resource, however being rude to advice givers is bound to cause offence, I think heather is probably in a better position than most in the fact that she has no ties and if she puts her mind to it (she claims to be intelligent) she could come up with a plan herself.

lots of people have bad days and are miserable - most don't take it out on others who are trying to help though.
like i said no-one is obliged to help her - they did because they wanted to help - her rudeness was uncalled for and was the only reason she has been treated this way.
perhaps she was expecting miracles, i don't know but if so then she needs to get back into the real world that she claims to live in.
and by the way, many 52 year olds are very fit - why couldn't she become an instructor? or do you think all 52 years olds are old, fat and unfit?
perhaps if, instead of moaning, she had actually given some idea of her skills and what she actually was aiming for, people may not have had to have been so random in their replies.

I agree trinny-yes, heather was rude but I think MORE rudeness was directed AT her than the other way around. we don't really know how she was feeling so none of us have the right to be so critical and judgemental. No,I don't assume most 52yr olds are ''old ,fat and unfit'...I am a bit older and have always been viewed as younger than i am---but to become an aerobics instructer requires not just fitness but an interest and passion for the activity. And cazz-we all have our burdens...whether financial, emotional or otherwise.I would like to know whether heather is feeling any better in herself tonight?
hi pastafreak. I feel a few ganged up on here. Not the first time either on this site.
I think Heather was asking a genuine question, and yes I think there were some helpful replies, cutting back on your outgoings, probably the most helpful. Although others were posted as being helpful, but probably unreaslistic.
I think what got their backs up, was her abrupt replies, but she was being honest, I guess. So easy on here, to go along with what people suggest, and just say "thankyou".
Maybe she was asking too much, and if she doesnt know inside what she wants, then a site full of strangers is not going to know either. But I hope she is ok too.
