My best suggestion would be essential oils - lavender, bergamot and geranium esp. Lavender is very nice, as its an antispetic and anti-inflammotary oil, and work really well on all skin conditions. It also helps against insomnia and stress-induced tensions, so use it before you go to bed - a good nights sleep is guaranteed! As for specific products, try 'Dream Cream' from LUSH - its magical, gets rid of my allergic rash in a few days! You can get from stores nationwide,or even easier, order online at www.lush.co.uk. Good luck! :)
I myself provided an answer to a similar question some time ago. My suggestion involved mixing three creams/oils and it worked reasonably well. However, a later answer from Geofbob on that same thread suggested ALPHOSYL cream. I thought I'd try it and it really worked. Apart from anything else, it can be bought over the counter at a pharmacy and is, of course, ready mixed, so much easier than my concoction. I recommended it to a fellow sufferer and it cleared her years-long psoriasis problem, too. Give it a go!
Hi Tinker, Lotus and Quizzie.
The above answers are great. There is no absolute guaranteed cure for Psoriasis but in my personal case it was bought down to one of two things - A yeast allergy or a traumatic event that happened when I was small.
I had Hypnotherapy to find out exactly what was the cause. I had Psoriasis on my elbows and it was gradually getting worse and worse but it started on my elbow when I was 18 (around the same time I started to drink lots of lager which contains yeast). I thought it was then a yeast allergy but no. The hypnotherapy concluded that it was due to a reasonably small event that happened in my past but to me then as a child it was traumatic. I got it out of my system through talking about it and coming to terms with it while I was under. It's amazing how the body reacts to things isn't it?
To finish, I would strongly recommend either going to a hypnotherapist (free consultation) to see if they can help or acupuncture which I am told is also beneficial. Best of Luck Tinker :o)

Apparently a dip in the Dead Sea is meant to do wonders - bit pricey though!
my brother used to suffer really bad with it on his legs and on his head. He used all the creams and tablets etc with minimal success. He moved to spain and a local told him to find some aloe vera( but the type that u can drink) obviously dont go squirting tubes of cream into your tea. You should be able too get it from health food shops. Within two weeks of using this it had cleared up completely. WIERD OR WHAT!
I get it on my scalp and rosemary oil works for that.
my girlfriend suffered quite badly on her elbows, again all the creams etc didn't seem to do very much, we got to thinking it could be an allergy or food intolerance (i'm sure everyones allergic to something) so she cut out bread (it was the first thing she tried) and a whole load of these slightly annoying ailments cleared up including the psoiasis which has completely gone. might be worth a try...

Yep, because Bread contains Yeast :o)
Seeing a homeopath can help psoriasis, but don't expect a miracle cure. It takes time and a bit of commitment to the process, but well worth it in the long run. Good luck!
