Morning All,

I'm without a kitchen this week so this means the only sink in the house is in the bathroom.

Should you drink water from the bathroom? I always thought that this was not a good idea but my housemate keeps assuring me I won't get dysentry (sp). I'm not convinced.

Cheers

Only if its plumbed into the mains rather than through a tank, which I doubt as Im not sure building regs allow it.

Why not? you brush your teeth there dont you? or do you brush yours in your kitchen

you DO have teeth don't you?
yer our mum always told us that because redcrx is my sister you know. Everybody she's my sister!!!!!!!!!!
but do you swallow lambert ;-)
it takes a bit longer for the water to run clear in my bathroom......not that its brown or anything!! Its just a bit cloudier. I think its supposed to run cold then it goes warmer then when its gone cold again its safe as its flushed all the mank out of the pipes....
I'd get some bottled water from supermarket me old china. xx
I don't know for sure, I would drink from there if I wanted to fill up my glass during the night but my boyfriend says it's disgusting, something about the water coming from a tank that could have dead rats rotting at the bottom of it, so now I don't. Don't know about the rats but I do think water from the bathroom misses some king of filtering process between tank and tap. But I may be talking bollarks and thus this answer id probably quite unhelpful, sorry! (I intended to help when I began my ramblings!)
gums are very absorbant so if you trust the water in your bathroom to brush your teeth without any ill effects then is should be safe enough to drink
4getmenot is being very very rude!!!
Hello China as red says, as long as cold water is from mains it is no different to the water in the kitchen, but never use water from header tank or hot water cylinder to drink,
DON't whatever you do drink from the sink, the toilet is far healthier

Ta Muchly Sparky & Red.
probably is if its from the mains mcfluff :-)
If the water is connected to cold water mains (the same as the kitchen) you're ok. If it's connected to domestic hot water header tank, then don't drink it.
As rf said you should not realy unless it is plumbed into the mains if it is it comes from your water tank in the lof where all sorts can climb into but saying that i have always drunk from it if thirsty in middle of night and its done me no harm gibber gibber my names sparticus

Out of interest... all this talk about not drinking it if it comes from a tanker... I'd notice a water tanker right? What does one look like?

At the moment I'm imagining an orange tank stuck to the top of my house.
a hot water tank in an airing cupboard maybe?
No, it'll be in your house, probably the bathroom, in a cupboard
