what kind of healthy eating are you doing, what type of exercise are you doing?
good results take time, as long as you are eating healthy natural foods (not a processed slimmer meal for 1) and are doing a bit of daily brisk exercise (like a 20 min walk) you should lose weight gradually.
most of these slimmer suppliments are a lot of hooey, just go for natural stuff, dont forget to drink lots of water, its a great anti ageing drink!!

If you are eating and exercising and not losing weight, then you are either eating more than you can burn through exercising, or not exercising enough to burn what you are eating, and some.
Continue the routine (without the pills) but up the anti a bit, by eating the right foods and doing the right exercises. Also avoid alcohol as much as you can.
Any number of websites will provide advice on health, fitness and nutrition regimes, but lay off the pills, they wont really do any good as you have noticed for yourself.

Slimming tablets are a waste of time and money.
The only REAL way to lose weight is to have a good diet, and do regular exercise.
Note I said HAVE a good diet, not GO ON a diet. Give yourself a diet you can stay on for the rest of your life.
Look carefully at WHAT you eat, and HOW MUCH of it.
Certain things are VERY bad for you: creamy sauces, biscuits, cakes, sweets, pork pie and other pies, curries, mayonaisse, fried food, chips, crisps, anything high fat, anything high in sugar and so on.
Eat NONE of these.
Certain things fill you up and are fairly good to eat - pasta and potatoes for example.
Dont worry too much about counting calories, just try to eat GOOD things (fruit, vegatables etc), and avoid BAD things (see list above).
Keep yourself busy and you will think less of food, dont "snack", or if you do eat carrott or fruit.
Dont keep telling people you are ON A DIET, or you will talk about food and that will make you hungry, just quietly get on with it.
As someone said, losing weight is not a quick thing, just a couple of pounds a week is about normal, any quicker and you can make yourself ill.
If you start to eat well (and a little less than you need), and do regular exercise (walking, swiming and cycling are the best) then the weight will gradually come off.
Good luck.

Just a little example of how a bit of planning can do some good.
I sometimes buy sandwiches from the supermarket.
In the past I bought the "all day breakfast (sausage, egg etc)" or the "something and mayonaisse"
One day I looked at the fat content of one of these sandwiches and it was about 30 grams of fat. 30 GRAMS of FAT in one sandwitch.
Alongside were the "good to yourself" range. Chicken salad on brown bread for example.
The fat content was 3 Grams, yes THREE grams.
So now I always look at the fat content of each sandwitch I buy.
I also recently saw a Rosemary Conley diet magazine and they were looking at the fat content of sauces you put on salads.
The Hellmans Mayonaise was 79% FAT, yes 79%.
Yet the Hellmans low calorie Mayonaisse was about 5 % fat.
So it does pay to look at some labels before you buy anything.

The Rosemary Conley diet and fitness magazine can be a help.
As well as useful guideance and advice it also gives examples of people who have lost weight and that can be a good moral booster.
Here it is (available in any newsagent or supermarket)

Low fat usually equally high sugar or salt or complelety pumped with air or water... you can hardly get away from it all!
Well done for giving up the worst habit... smoking... I myself am down to 3/5 a day but I only ever smoked 8-10 anyway... problem is when i drink.
Anyway, try eating only fruit and raw veg through the afternoon... I did this just for a cleanse and to my suprise had lost 5lbs in a week... a guy at work told me to be careful of all the sugar in fruit though and the health of my teeth, but at 31 and I've never needed any dental work, not even a filling, I guess i'm doing ok...
Failing that, try portion control, admittedly, something that I myself struggle with...
