Took one of my aunties to-day to the railway station at picadilly, manchester. She is going to see her sister in the lakes.

In the parking lot , in the disabled section there was on eof those little smart cars, 2 seater no boot etc. Disability ticket on display. My problem, if you are disabled how the hell do you get into this little matchbox car. Taking the pi55 I thjought.

Item on the local news last night that in Manchester there are hundreds of disability display discs/cards being stolen from parked cars. The police being interviewed said that they had even traced one stolen disc that had been forged 5,000 (yes five thousand ) times. It is big business as �1000 can be got for one of these cards.

Katie I work for a national charity who help people with disabilities get back into work and come off sickness benefit :)

My cousin has severe asthma and has a disabled badge.

He fits quite easily into his mini.

I am now disabled and cannot imagine being able to get into one of those smart cars , I almost need an industrial lift to get me out of a normal saloon type due to the fact that once I am down I can't get up.:-)

I have a blue badge too. I don't receive any benefits though but I'm too knackered these days to work physicaly.
Thankfully I have a large car, and I just love the filthy looks I get when I get out and..... leg it!!! so many neuros out of work eh? but hey.... your opinion as an expert is always welcome lol :) xxx
