My wife is leaving me

to visit her sister tomorrow night, I'm looking after the sprogs so I'll be unable to visit the fleshpots of Northampton, however I do have a brand spanking new blockbuster card, so what DVD's do my fellow ABers recomend I watch? (keep the suggestions clean please)

I've got the Indiana Jones boxset also the complete 'Band of Brothers' series

It might not appeal to all, but if you see InterCity Norwich, it is the entire journey to Liverpool Street filmed from the cab of a class 86 electric locomotive. I like train films anyway, trying to guess which track it will take at the next set of points, and watching the speedometer.

The Lives of Others - Fantastic German film. Well worth a watch if you want to getyour teeth into something. Likewise Zodiac is excellent

My vote though goes to 'Days of Glory' which has just been released. It's French (don't let that put you off), and it's the best war film since Saving Private Ryan.

Why don't you try a film you will cry at and then you can blubber away with no shame! My hubby cried at the End of Saving Private ryan "Tell me am I a good man?"
