smokers

after a thread about smokers driving.
do you ever get fed up with the way that the smokers whine on , or wheeze in some cases .
about their right to smoke?
well i do .
jeez its a combination of toxic chemicals that youre burning .
burn it elsewhere.
they litter streets with dog ends everywhere .
hang about in doorways like lost souls .
on a cold day it looks like a gathering of junkies all huddled and shivering.
smoking is antiscocial and is not nice .
as smokers in the uk are in a minority then why should they dictate to us nonsmokers?
i say do as youre told smokers or shut up.
whingeing and moaning ,
give us a break and some fresh air ffs

I know I will die young but I have made provision for my grown kids and my 10 year old. I will die young whether I smoke or not as my lungs were very badly damaged before I was diagnosed. If you read about alpha-1-antitrypsin you will realise that I would have gotten this disease without ever having had a cigarette in my whole life. As with many other incurable diseases the sufferer becomes used to their imminent demise,I am not scared of dying and my only concern is that those I leave behind are able to move on and be happy when i'm gone.
well jiggy there are a few folk on here infatuated with me in the sense thye must argue with me .
not a day goes by that these 4 dont argue with me .or activvely seek me out to argue .
but thats their problem .
i know its only online and not to be taken seriously.
daffy
thats very sad but surely youre accelerating your own demise ?
therefopre depriving your friends and family of your company.
that strikes me a s sad maybe even selfish for the sake of a drag on a fag.
hope this doesnt offend you but its my honest opinion which i would say to anyone evn a friend or family member .though probably a bit stronger to them.

I accept a non smokers right to not breathe in my smoke.
You must also respect my choice to smoke, as long as it takes into account the above.
I can now only smoke outdoors.
Non smokers can choose to avoid my smoke.
But even that apparently isn't enough.
FFS, where would you have me smoke in order to not infringe on your rights??

Leg to be fair to those that do argue with you (myself included) your posts take up half of the B&S section and as soon as someone has a differing opinion to you, you pick on them. You're unavoidable and unarguably the most irritating answerbanker (cockney rhyming) that ever was lol (please take the answerbanker bit in the light hearted way it was intended, although I do find you quite annoying at times)
Right on to smoking, I'm a smoker. My children have never seen me smoke. I don't smoke in the house, I smoke in the garden. I never drop butts on the floor, I never smoke near nonsmokers. Its my choice and I should give up but I haven't. When I take the utmost precaution to shield nonsmokers from my habit, I don't need sanctimonious prats harping on about how I effect them because I don't. 90 percent of smokers are aware and conscious of how their smoking effects those around them.

Sasha13, I was wondering this the other day. I was waiting for the tram into the city here in Manchester and noticed all the no smoking signs. The platforms are in no way covered, one tiny shelter, the size you would see at a bus stop. I can understand if they make the shelter itself smoke free, but the entire platform?
