I've just come back from physiotherapy on my wrist to be told that what I thought was a quirk from wearing a plaster-cast for 8 weeks was in fact my hormones going doolally.
My wrist and hand have developed hairs, and I don't mean soft blonde downy hairs, I mean really noticeable dark ones! He warned me that unless I use my wrist more it will get worse- Mr Boo said it'd be cool, like wearing a mitten permanently (!)
Anyhoos..........
I didn't ask my physio bloke at the risk of him looking at me like I was simple (ok, more simple then) but does anyone think it would be ok to use some sort of hair removal cream on it?
Ha! Hormones my ar$e.... What a rampant bunny you are! ;0P
Oh ok. I'll stop being mean.
Yes of course you can use a cream, it'll be fine. Personally thought I would wax or epilate them as that should mean that hopefully they'll eventually be less of them.
I had similar when I had the plastercast removed after a broken ankle.............:o)
The physio likened it to a gardener 'forcing rhubarb'.
I returned to my usual habit of 'wet-shaving' but must admit that these more robust hairs were noticeable for quite some time after.
I think any light depilatory cream would be suitable although you may find yourdelf having to use it for a while :o)
I had my arms waxed after I (by I, I mean my ex) broke my arm. I went and had it done at the salon, it was really cheap, only 8 quid I think. They didnt grow back drk after that.
Boo love , it may just be as simple as the fact that the area has been covered for weeks , no light and more so no exfoliation (sp) from washing etc ., :-) x
That's a tempting idea Goodsy, might give that one a whirl. Anything that doesn't involve me putting an effort into doing it gets my vote- lol.
I have to admit to being really deflated over my plastercast coming off. I fully expected (obviously naively) for my arm to be back to 100% and I certainly never expected to my wrist and hand to look bloody hairy!
i thought that too BM, till the psysio guy brought me back down to earth. Don't ask me the ins and outs of it (because i've forgotten and didn't fully understand as he explained- i just nodded) but it is due due to inactiviity.
booooooooooo, dont do it, show us a piccie and lets have a vote, u poor love. bet you feel well upset. how about long sleeve tops whilst it goes away? bless u x
