dog wont eat

my 9 month old staffie won eat dog food he likes cheese , raw eggs. corned beef he was eating fine untill 3 weeks ago untill my old dog died

Hi there, it's a bit of a worry when a pup this young stops eating, the corned beef, though very fatty/salty won't hurt too much short term, try mixing it with a little warm water (not too mushy though) and add a small amount of dog food to it, if that goes down well then at the next feed lessen the amount of corned beef and increase the dog food and so on until he is eating normal dog food again, don't feed too much cheese as most dogs are lactose intolerant and can't process it, it give them a runny tum! and again not too many raw eggs, better to feed cooked, if none of the above helps, talk to your vet, a dog will not starve itself so if he refuses food at 1 or 2 feeds don't worry too much, but do not be tempted to give any titbit's, put a feed down and if not eaten in 5 mins take it away and don't offer anything until his next regular feed time, because he is so young though don't continue this for more than 48 hours, is he drinking though?

That's good, don't let it go on for too long though, I don't know if you watch Caeser Millan the dog whisperer? I have just watched an episode where a family had recently lost 1 of their 2 dogs and the other dog was grieving for his friend, dogs grieve like we do, it's so sad as you can't explain what has happened, I'm sure your pup will be his old self really soon, I do hope so.
