Or am I the only one who is naive and would not even think about doing this. I was recently shocked by a revelation from a friend that they did this (only once) but this was a person who I thought would never do it. Have any of you guys been at it wether it was a full blown relationship or just a one night stand or even just a quickie in the local club toilets?

You are not alone mate - I would NEVER contemplate it at all
Mainly due to having it done to me too many times and it hurts - it is one of those things that really gets me riled up and is probably one of the main reasons I am still single lol.
Both my husband and I agree that if one of us was to stray, be it a full-on affair or a quickie, it would end our marriage. Neither of us want to, it was just one of the things we talked about when we first met over 12 years ago. Trust and faithfulness are extremely important to us. PaulB, I think you will find that your faithfulness will be really appreciated when you meet the 'right one', especially if they have been hurt in the past. Good luck.
Ah, but what about all those Mel Gibson dreams coggles!!
I dont htink anyone can say never. Dont get me wrong I love my patrner more than life itself and would never ever want to hurt him but I dont think you can definatly say that this wouldnt happen to you .
I agree Greedyfly. I am not so smug to think that we have a marriage that is 100% perfect. All I can say is that if it did happen to, or by, either of us, it would definately be the end for our marriage - no second chance for either of us.
I can't conceive of a single circumstance where cheating on my wife would bring me more than I stand to lose. I'm just about grown up enough to recognise which side my bread is buttered, and not jeopardise that. Not, mind you, that I've had any offers, so this is entirely accademic!

All of that said, some previous (painful) experiences have taught me that it's all too easy to judge other people by your own situation. Without wishing to promote unfaithfulness in any way, there can be extenuating circumstances.
Ive never done it and ive never really felt doing it but I know a few workmates who have and I just wonder how theyve got the nerve to do it some of them have got separate mobile phones they can use for their liasons. On one embarrasing night one of my workmates brought his bit on the side to a works do my wife started talking to her as if she was his wife only to be told different .It took me some explaining to sort that one out
Thanks Cogs :o)
nearly 11 years marriage and hand-on-my-heart faithful since the day i met mrs vader. I love to chat to women (and can flirt sometimes :-) but that's as far as it ever goes. I dunno how men can throw away what they have for a one-off, i couldn't live without the wife, family and life i have now.
