Normally by now, someone has posted about the Poppy Appeal, so I thought I'd better.
btw, i'm boasting now, but the branch of the Legion I belong to are going to give me an award, got to say, I feel quite chuffed.

Hi everybody,
I offer this advice to anyone who can't get their poppy to stay on their coat.
Hold your poppy against your coat.
Make sure the LEAF of the poppy is upright.
Stick the (straight) pin, diagonally, through the LEAF (so that the point of the pin is away from your face)
This should ensure that your poppy stays firmly pinned, and the petal of the poppy will hide the pin.
(IDon't try and pin it through any plastic part).
