Spots
8 Answers
Hello i am a 28 year old male who is still prone to spots. They generally appear on my forehead, which by the end of the day is generally quite greasy to the touch. Have tried lots of things but they havent worked. Would be grateful of any advise to remedy the situation.

Add a heavyweight Vitamin E suppliment, and make sure you wash your face three or four times a day with a gentle non-soap preparation. Don't rub your facce, pat it dry. If all else fails, try a short(!) course of sunbed treatment. That should do the trick.
Sunbeds may dry out your skin, but unless you continually use them then the results will only be short term. Sunbeds are definitely not good for you, even if you do only use them for a short period of time. The rays just completely damage your skin and causes skin cancer, premature ageing etc. I would much prefer to suffer from spots. Seriously, try a good fascial wash. That l'oreal pure zone gel wash I mentioned is brill to clear up greasy skin!
Ketsugo is excellent http://www.ketsugo.co.uk/
a good healthy diet, lots of water and some good quality probiotics wouldn't go a miss either.
there are some suggestions here too - http://www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/articles.asp?article_ ID=174
i had acne for many years into my 20's. if you have tried all the obvious and this is not a result of bad diet, hygene etc, you must get referred to a consultant dermatologist. persistent adult acne is nothing to do with diet or hygene, if there is not a hormonal reason or any other medical reason, the cycle needs to be broken. if you have had (as i did) all the creams, pills, lotions and potions, the very very best i had is a dramatic drug called ROACUTANE. it can only be prescribed by hospital. i saw Dr Martin Black at St Thomas's Hospital in London after years of doctors and hospitals. mine was only on parts of my face, nowhere else, but it had wrecked my confidence and life until it was cleared. nobody has to put up with acne and dont take any notice of people who say its food or hygene. get a referal from your gp - good luck!
