Going to the toilet whilst on
12 Answers
I am really sorry if this question offends anyone but I really want to know the answer and I am too embarassed to ask friends. When I am on my period, I always wear tampons. When I need to go to the toilet for a number two, if I push (not even overly hard) I also sometimes push out my tampon. Is this normal?? Does it happen to other people?? Many thanks

May I as a man offer an opinion? I would suggest that the muscles 'pushing' waste from the bowels, and a baby from the uterus are not separately functional, and intentionally pushing with one set of muscles will bring the others into a reflex action. Obviously I have no experience to draw on, but I think my response is logical.
karincon, that's a dreadful and completely sexist attitude. Perhaps you have a litle growing up still to do? Andy frequently posts very reasoned and intelligent answers - I don't think you have shown evidence of the same anywhere on the site. Ultimately Andy has answered the question - you couldn't I assume?
