Why are some people morons?

Just come hotfoot from another thread which informed me a certain thread has been removed because of morons who may well have lead someone to suicide! I've written before that the AB reflects Real Life and so, by definition, will have its supply of idiots and morons, who undermine the ethos behind this otherwise fantastic site. Unfortunately, some people who ask questions here do not have any other outlet in their lives and I think that if we subscribe to such a site, we all have the duty and responsibility to respect others and, if we have nothing constructive to say, we should say nothing!

From what I was reading from a thread this morning over in ChatterBank, someone has set themselves up as an authority on what posts are genuine on this forum and what aren't.

For the record- I couldn't tell if the orginal thread was a wind up or not, but I'd hate to throw in a sarcastic/nasty reply and it was a serious post to begin with.

It seems quite a few people have forgotten the dreadful case of a guy who threatened to kill himself on a chat forum and he did.

Harmless humour??? It may have seemed harmless to you but to someone so depressed they are contemplating suicide it would have been devastating.

They're referring to a post last nite by mike .It was a bit suspect .But the reaction of some users was way over the top.Lucy Thomas telling mike to hurry up and kill himself and stop p�ssin about and could he post it on you tube .
Hardly fun or banter.
