what is it that appeal so much to women?

having been single for ages i met a girl recently who was on and off with her ex who treats her badly , used to and still does.....anyway she knows shes better off without him and still wants to meet up with me

but whats in it for me? grief from him and not being left alone?

women like this dont realise they arent helping themselves by having these losers follow them in life!

people like me wont want to know as it means instead of taking on a girlfriend your taking on a load of grief and trouble

why is this always the way, why cant women have no crazy exes and just be pure, ! lol

I think it is a little more subtle than that.

I believe that some women are brought up with little or no self-esteem. They see their fathers treat their mothers badly, and this becomes their relationship model. When the meet a similar man who treats them badly, then all is well because in their experience, this is how the world turns, so all is nromal.

For women like this, abuse and conflict are a way of life, and in a bizarre way, it become reassuring, and they are able to tell themselves that they love the man, and he loves them, even though all the objective evidencec points to the opposite opinion.

My advice would be to find yourself another girl - life is too short to take on baggae from another relationship - and this set-up has 'grief 'written all over it.

Walk away. Now.

I agree totally with the last. Some women don,t choose this as a conscious thing, but rather a way of re-inforcing the patterns that they are uset to, although not knowingly. It can never be any different unless they learn to want more for themselves, or rather that they recognise this.

AH almost took the words out of my mouth.
Many insecure women, lacking in confidence and self esteem, are drawn to the "bad ones", who might seem exciting at first. As these women get older, they realise that life isn't so good with these men, but it might be too late to get away by then.
Stick to your principles mhb, and go get yourself a caring, decent woman who'll return the things that you're able to offer. There are plenty out there if you look in the right places. xx
