How long can you last?

Just been reading viz, and they did a thing about sting. So since he's famous for being able to last for a while, whats the longest anyones ever been on the job?

I've read that the claims about Sting and Trudie's love life are rather exagerrated. And he has never seen fit to disprove them - understandably. Actually Sting is famous for doing virtually nothing. Just how much has he done since the Police? One decent album and that was a long time ago now.

And the answer to your question is one hour (for me), though I'm sure the record is longer.

I have managed a three hour session.  Very hot and bothered at the end of it, but neither me or my partner had a part of us untouched by the end of it!!

The Guinness Book of Records says that the longest period of time that anyone has ever been in the same job was 98 years by Shigechiyo Izumi of Tokunoshima island, South West Japan (1865-1986).  He began working on his family's farm at the age of 7 and retired as a sugar farmer at the age of 105.  He also holds the world record for the oldest man.  The military archives record the fact that he was excused military service in 1889 because of the need for sugar on the mainland, and this (along with the 1871 census, recording him as a 6-year-old) was one of the bits of documentary evidence proving his age.
