My sore knee

I am overweight and dieting and doing more walking than usual (put not up to 10,000 steps).

Behind my knee - at the middle just where my thigh starts is sore. Is this, possibly, the ligament? It niggles most of the time and has done so for a few weeks, the pain is not severe. However every so often -when I move suddenly or turn to avoid a fleeing feline it hurts a lot.

Could this be a ligament injury ?
Any point on going to the doctor?
Leave it a few weeks and see if pain goes?
Paracetamol okay?

Thanks

sqad will be good at answering this if he's about susan. Perhaps an anti inflammatory would help? Or you could just call the doc and ask for advice over the phone?

Hope you are having a good day x
Hi wolf.
Unlikely to be ligament injury.
Would not go to GP at this point in time.
Leave it a few weeks.
Paracetamol is OK

squad - thanks. I actually saw my GP the other day. But since we were in the supermarket at the time I didn't want to annoy him. We talked cats and puppies instead! ;-)

rinkins My psychiatrist changed my anti-depressant in February and things have been weird since then. But over the last three or four days I really feel good, not too high and not low. I still have the shakes and blurred vision (some of the side effects) but my brain feels nice and calm. I hope it lasts for a while.

Thanks for asking.

Good news xx I think my relative is on the last option of tablets now. She must have tried nearly everything now. We'll see!

Tell me something, are you allowed to drive at all? And out of curiosity (you don't have to answer of course), do you feel like you are in your own little bubble of a world? I ask purely because said relative seems to put herself first all the time and seems quite self obsessed.

Sorry we've been living with it for so long, like I said yesterday we don't know much of what was her personality before she was diagnosed. I have only suffered mild depression and inxiety myself.
*anxiety*

if it is any consolation I have been trying to put a 'z' and 'x' in anxiety for years.

I do live in a world of my own. I get obsessed with thing and ideas. I don't make any major decisions without asking my brother to 'sanity check' them first.

It is weird - writing it down makes it all seem normal. But it isn't because sufferers take things to extremes.

On my new diet I have had chicken salad every day - varying contents but still the same food.

When I adopted my two cats I phoned my brother and told him that I now had cats..

Brother: how many cats? (thinkin crazy cat lady)
Me: 2 brother and sister
brother: do they know they are brother and sister?
Me: how the f**k do I know
brother: you 'do' know where kittens come from!
then I reassured in that they were neutered.

My Frankie has an AB user name and a blog - http://frankiemerlin.livejournal.com/
Thank you. I appreciate that. Sorry to keep asking questions!

Love the link! Brilliant! Made me smile! Your cats have a wonderful way of putting things!! I think they'd get on well with my two! And why do they lick the jelly off and leave the rest?!!!!! Little monkeys.
Ahh wait until they start to take advantage :)

Heathcliffe has a new favourite hidey place under the bed as it takes me an age to get down that lowe to look under there lol :)

I've noticed that Felix with the jelly licked off doesn't smell as Whiskas with the jelly licked off.

Frankie missed his breakfast yesterday and as been barfing - it is hard to tell if he is ill though - all he does is sleep and fight with his sister.
