you shouldn't be getting it unless you can "put aside" time to care for it for a few weeks afterwards. (and that includes not wearing trainers)

It's going to be with you for the rest of your life, at least take care of it for the few weeks it matters.

Your tattooist is the best person to ask though (if they are a good one)
have you got any tattoo's chuck?
not yet :)
I think they are spreading like swine flu. everyone is getting them :o

i have one already on my wrist x
Im the only one who wont I think
I like tattoos if they are done for the right reason.

Having any name other than an offspring's name is a bad idea and I wish people would think more that it's a life long thing before having them sometimes, but I do think a good, well thought out tattoo can be a work of art.
I have 4 tattoos :) all in places they can be hidden.
bekib86 you really shouldn't cover the one you are having on your foot, especially with trainers,it will be very painful and will ruin the design, you could also end up with an infection. It needs at least a week of not being covered at all and then maybe another week of loose covering.
i like katie price one on her foot. what are u going to have do u know yet ?
chuck ..... intel inside?
Vaseline
Bepanthen - its actually for nappy rash but for both my tattoos this has been recommended by the tattooist and has been a great healer!!! You can buy it over the counter at any pharmacy...
bepanthan is a god send for tattoos, bekib if you have to wear your trainers then id suggest keeping them kind of loose so they dont irritte your tatoo and also wear a smooth sock.ou could always recover it with a bit of cling film , some tattooist say it can be recovered for short times but ideally the air has to get to it. i dont think wearing your trainers will damage it but just be really careful as you are putting them on and taking off. depending on the size of your tattoo though you may be pretty swollen i know i was and found it really painful to walk for a good few days after so try stay off it as much as you can.
you should have had it done by now anyway , so how was it ?
