Hello everyone...could someone just advise me....I am unemployed and getting Income Based Jobseekers, I get free dentistry but I have just read on the NHS website that because I get free treatment my partner should aswell, am I reading that right? I do hope so, as he is on the sick, so only getting SSP and has to go tomorrow to the dentist's, does that mean he get's his treatment free also?

Going by these lines (which I think you are quoting)from the NHS Website,I would have said YES

You are also entitled to free NHS dental treatment if you or your partner (including civil partners), receive either:

Income Support
Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Pension Credit Guarantee Credit; or
you are named on, or entitled to (use your award notice as evidence), an NHS tax credit exemption certificate, or
you are named on a valid HC2 certificate.

However,I would ask your Dentists receptionist to clarify it for you.
Income based JSA is based on the entire households situation so any pass-ported benefits such as free prescription, dentist etc apply to all members of the household
When you claimed your Income Based Jobseekers allowance did you tell them that you had a partner? Is your partner's income taken into account in the calculation of your Jobseekers allowance?

If so - yes your partner will get free dentist treatment.

Glad to hear it(for both of you)
It's nice when sometimes (but not often) the rules work in your favour!
