I've been a bit naughty. Well, not naughty, but I made a mistake. Back in May, I had flu and was off work for a grand total of 7 working days. At the time, my manager asked if I'd been to the doctor, to which I replied yes, just so it sounded as if I was making the effort to get better. The truth is that I didn't bother to go to the doctor, because I thought it was just a cold. I've now been asked to get a doctors note as I had more than 5 days off, but I'm not sure if I can get one if I didn't actually see the doctor? I'm getting a little worried now as I don't want work to find out I lied, even though its not exactly the biggest, most damaging lie in the world.
Sooo, can you get a docs certificate if you didn't actually go to the docs? Please say you can!
I actually went back in to work after 6 days, but was sent home again because I looked so bad, so they at least know that I wasn't faking illness. I did say it turned out to be flu, but thought it was a cold in the early stages.
If you didnt see your doctor how can you ask him to write a note saying you were sick. it could be fraud.
How come your company has only just asked for this.
Go to your GP and explain the situation to him AND.if you are subservient and apologetic and have and haven't been a trouble maker, your Dr. will backdate the note for you.
HOWEVER..if you have been a pain in the @rse to the practice, gobby, knowall and confrontational...then he won't.
And if your GP is anything like sqad, a quick flash of your baps won't do any harm either... in fact, it may result in your GP giving you the whole pad of sick notes... you can be ill whenever you like ;-)
sara....how dare your? Remember you are 12th on my list.
salla...I was always averse to seeing teachers, they were known clevers0ds.
This particular one came with her son and when i said "Come and sit down my dear"
She replied " I am not your dear and don't patronise me".
I told the nurse to put her on the waiting list and mark it "not urgent"
