ankle joint problem

I get inflamed joints cos of IBD and haven't been able to walk on my ankle for the past 4 weeks. The ankle joint hurts and I have had a steroid injection, but BOTH my feet really hurt on the soles and heels. I have no idea why this could be. Is it because I have been walking flat-footed to avoid using my ankle? I have barely walked in weeks yet they start to ache when I so much as put my foot on the floor.
Any ideas gratefully received.

If the heels are hurting especially bad when you have been off your feet, with them still hurting when you walk, but maybe not as much, you probably have a condition called plantar faciitis.

It can be sorted with a steroid injection, or you can also buy shoe inserts which raise the arch a bit. Scholl do them, it's just a matter of finding a shop that sells them.
You need to see a Rheumatologist.
